We strive for Sherenden students to be:

Sherenden & Districts School is a rural, state, co-educational, full primary located 35 kms west of Hastings, 21kms up the Taihape Rd.

We cater for students from year 1-8.

Our Year 7/8 students attend technology in town at Taradale Intermediate. 

We currently have 3 bus runs operating out of our school. 

The original school was founded in 1916 and we have a roll of 51 students to begin the 2024 year.

The staffing is as follows:

  • Teaching Principal

  • 0.6 job share with Senior Room

  • Assistant Principal and Middle Room teacher

  • Junior Room Teacher

  • 1x Teacher Aide to support the students and classroom teachers

  • Office administrator and  caretaker
